Description

A celebration of the cross-Atlantic winemaking prowess of Jean-Nicolas Méo in two bottles. Frist, from the family estate in Burgundy, France is the 2015 Domaine Méo-Cazumet Saint-Romain Blanc – a barrel fermented Chardonnay from a 0.5ha plot of 30-year-old vines. A traditional white Burgundy in style, with winemaking richness and bottle age balanced by bright, mineral-driven acid backbone and layers of well-defined orchard fruit.

When he’s not walking the vines in Burgundy, Jean-Nicolas jets off to Oregon’s Willamette Valley where is makes up the Nicolas of the Nicolas-Jay Winery nestled in the Dundee Hills. The second bottle in this two-pack is the 2022 Nicolas-Jay ‘Affinités’ Chardonnay. This is his regional bottling and is a blend of three hand-picked vineyards from across the valley. Classically Oregon, with beautiful minerality and ample smokey lemon peel with a through line of saline minerality.

Only 6 two-packs available! Don’t miss this great opportunity to compare and contrast Oregon Chardonnay and white Burgundy, both made by the same winemaker.
