More Info

Founded in 2005 by John Raytek, Certias crafts some of the most compelling California wines from a small outpost in Healdsburg. Grapes are sourced from some of the best vineyards in the Western Sonoma Coast, Napa Valley, Moon Mountain District, and the Santa Cruz Mountains. The team at Ceritas has deep connections to the land they call home, and seek to honor that through the wines they craft each year. Each bottling is limited and are rarely available at retail.

The Charles Heintz Vineyard, located just miles from the frigid waters of the Pacific Ocean at just enough elevation to peek through the fog line so the 40+ year-old Chardonnay vines can soak up the golden California sunshine. Planted to the old wente clone in 1980 on Goldridge soils, the wines from this vineyard are some of the best Chardonnays made in California each year. This is a rare opportunity to taste two vintages of Chardonnay from one of California’s top sites for Chardonnay, the 2023 and 2016. only 6 available

Jean-Nicolas Méo Two Pack

More Info

A celebration of the cross-Atlantic winemaking prowess of Jean-Nicolas Méo in two bottles. Frist, from the family estate in Burgundy, France is the 2015 Domaine Méo-Cazumet Saint-Romain Blanc – a barrel fermented Chardonnay from a 0.5ha plot of 30-year-old vines. A traditional white Burgundy in style, with winemaking richness and bottle age balanced by bright, mineral-driven acid backbone and layers of well-defined orchard fruit.

When he’s not walking the vines in Burgundy, Jean-Nicolas jets off to Oregon’s Willamette Valley where is makes up the Nicolas of the Nicolas-Jay Winery nestled in the Dundee Hills. The second bottle in this two-pack is the 2022 Nicolas-Jay ‘Affinités’ Chardonnay. This is his regional bottling and is a blend of three hand-picked vineyards from across the valley. Classically Oregon, with beautiful minerality and ample smokey lemon peel with a through line of saline minerality.

Only 6 two-packs available! Don’t miss this great opportunity to compare and contrast Oregon Chardonnay and white Burgundy, both made by the same winemaker.

Raj Parr Phelan Farm 2pk

Raj Parr is one of those people in the wine industry that can hold a room captive with More Info

Raj Parr is one of those people in the wine industry that can hold a room captive with his soft-spoken diatribes on wine and farming. From the restaurant world to being a part of well-known wine projects in California and Oregon and authoring books on wine (everyone should check out A Sommelier’s Atlas to Taste), his true passion these days is farming.

Since cutting ties with his other projects, he has been focusing solely on farming and developing the Phelan Farm, a multi-generational homestead, farm and ranch nestle just a few miles from the Pacific ocean off of scenic Highway 1 just outside of the picturesque seaside town of Cambria. Raj champions minimal intervention in every aspect of the project, from farming to bottling, crafting the wines as purely and sustainably as possible. The combination of one of the brightest minds in wine today, minimal intervention techniques and some ‘out of left field’ varieties is quickly making Phelan Farms one of the most exciting wine projects today.

This two pack showcases two wines from the farm, one white and one red.

The white bottle is his 2024 Phelan Farms Jacquère, a varietal bottling of this eastern French and Swiss specialty. Originally hailing from the Savoie region, this is one of the great winter whites, with a medium-bodied palate of ripe citrus, pears and orchard fruit and saline minerality to liven up the finish. This may be the last vintage Raj bottles the Jacquère on its own rather than in a blend.

Completing the pack is the 2024 Phelan Farms Autrement Rouge, another Savoie-inspired wine but this time a blend of Gamay, Mondeuse and Pinot Noir. Medium-bodied, with brambly fruit and hints of floral-tinged spice are supported by present, but fine-grained and silky tannins with chalky, bright acidity to keep you coming back for more.

Ormes de Pez 2pk

More Info

Château Ormes de Pez is one of our go-to estates in Bordeaux for wines that overdeliver year after year. Located in the heart of the left back commune of Saint-Estèphe, the vineyards are planted predominately to Cabernet Sauvingon but there is also some Cabernet Franc and Merlot to be found. With buildings dating to the 1700s, the estate has a storied history but it’s modern story begins in 1930 when the Cazes family purchased the estate. Today the family oversees the estate (along with their other property, Château Lynch-Bages) and is dedicated to continuing the traditions into the next generation.

We are offering two vintages in this pack, 2009 and 2020, both great vintages in Bordeaux.

2009 Château Ormes de Pez

92 pts, James Suckling: “Blueberry, plums and citrus rind aromas, follow through to a full body, with juicy tannins and a tangy finish. Round and delicious.”

2020 Château Ormes de Pez

93 pts, Decanter: “Blueberry, raspberry and cassis, there is concentration but also juice. Merlot-dominant (following a restructuring of the vineyard to better align grapes with terroir) with bite and freshness. A lovely smoky edge here, this is another successful vintage for Ormes de Pez. 4% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.69ph. 45% new oak. A yield of 42hl/ha which was not as low here as at Lynch Bages because of more clay in the soils, and because the Merlot was less impacted by the drought than the Cabernet Sauvignon. (JA)

Coteaux Champenois 2 Pack

We all know and love Champagne (who doesn’t?!). These days it is hard to imagine anything but  sparkling wine to have ever come out of France’s most famous wine region, but a few hundred years ago, before the technology was available to capture the bubbles without bottles exploding at random, the Champagne region made still wines, similar to it’s southerly sister region, Burgundy.

This two pack explores the still wines of Champagne, bottled under the appellation ‘Coteaux Champenois’, that are produced in small amounts when the vintage conditions allow.

Up first, a still bottling of Chardonnay from the Bérêche brothers: The Coteaux Champenois Aÿ Blanc Grand Cru 2022. 100% Chardonnay from two parcels in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ in the Vallée de la Marne.

93 POINTS, VINOUS : “The 2022 Coteaux Champenois Aÿ is a rare 100% Chardonnay Coteaux Champenois from Aÿ. Bright and punchy, with superb depth, the Coteaux is seriously impressive. More than Chardonnay, though, what comes through is the unique interplay of fruit intensity, textural breadth and minerality that is at the core of what Aÿ is all about. Citrus peel, salt, slate and chalk invite a second taste. I am not the biggest fan of Coteaux Champenois, but Chardonnay in Aÿ can be magical. This is pretty much as good (or great) as it gets, not to mention a stellar debut. At the same time, it’s hard not to think about what this parcel could produce with Champagne more than Coteaux Champenois!” -Antonio Galloni

Up next, a red version from Arthur Lelièvre: hte Coteaux Champenois Ludes 2022. 100% Pinot Noir here, from a single parcel called “Le Saints Mars” planted in 1974 in the village of Ludes, home to some of the best red fruit in all of Champagne. Farmed sustainable, Arthur follows a minimalist approach in the cellar inspired by his time in Burgundy. His goal: to highlight the unique complexity and aromatic richness found in the terroir of Ludes. This is a very personal project for young Arthur, vinifying just enough wine to fill one singe 228 liter barrel each year – enough for him to fill only 424 bottles. For the world.
